PUBG Mobile officially kicks off the Global Open with almost 100,000 participants
The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) is officially live, featuring a record-breaking 90,000+ competitors vying for a share of the $500,000 prize pool. This inaugural international PUBG Mobile esports event kicked off with Open Qualifiers on February 13th, providing a platform for emerging talent to compete against established teams.
Open to amateur teams only, the PMGO Open Qualifiers ensure fresh faces get their chance to shine. Teams boasting at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2. Over the coming weeks, aspiring squads will clash for a coveted spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against the victors from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
Twelve teams will ultimately emerge from the Prelims to challenge the elite professionals in the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams – Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage – have already secured their Main Event berths based on their stellar PMGC 2024 performances. Four more will join them, qualifying through regional tournaments like the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The competition timeline is as follows: Open Qualifiers (until March 2nd), Prelims (April 10th-11th), and the Main Event (April 12th-13th). This marks the beginning of a thrilling year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC also on the 2025 calendar.
