Pokemon Center Hiroshima Relocates, Unveils Gyarados Plaza

Pokemon Center Hiroshima will temporarily close its doors at the end of March 2025, reopening at a new location in April 2025. Simultaneously, a new Gyarados Plaza will debut in March. Here's a closer look at these exciting developments:

The store will move to the second floor of Ekie, located at the north exit of Hiroshima Station. This marks a relocation from its current sixth-floor location in Sogo Hiroshima’s Main Building, where it's resided since June 2015.

Gyarados Plaza Opens at Hiroshima Station

The "Gyarados Plaza by Pokemon Center Hiroshima" will open March 24, 2025, on the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza, situated within the new Minamoa building at Hiroshima Station. This playground features large Gyarados-themed play equipment, promising fun for all ages. Advance reservations will be required for playground use for a limited time after its launch; details will be released on the official Minamoa website.

Nationwide Poke-lun TV Event

Before the closure, Pokemon Centers across Japan, including Hiroshima, will host a nationwide event celebrating "Poke-lun TV" reaching over 1 million subscribers. From January 17th to February 16th, 2025, fans can obtain an exclusive sticker by presenting a password found in a December 19th, 2024, Poke-lun TV YouTube video.

Select Pokemon Centers (Mega Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa) will also feature photo opportunities with life-sized cutouts of the popular Poke-lun TV hosts. This event excludes Pokemon Stores, Pokemon Center Online, Pokemon Cafes, and Pikachu Sweets by Pokemon Cafe.
