Pokemon TCG Pocket unveils Shining Revelry expansion, hints at Ranked Matches

The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket has arrived, introducing shiny variants that add an extra layer of excitement to the game. With over 110 new cards to collect, the expansion, aptly named Shining Revelry, brings dazzling new variants into play, including cards from the Paldea region. This influx of new cards has me wishing I had more Hourglasses to spend on a 10-pack pull. Upon the update's release, I eagerly used some of my hard-earned Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs, and to my delight, I pulled a Charizard EX, though the rest of the haul was less impressive. However, pulling a Pokémon Center Lady card provided some comfort, as her ability to heal Special Conditions is a handy trick when dealing with pesky conditions like Burn.

As with previous expansion packs, the latest update introduces an Emblem event, where you can earn new badges to show off to your friends. This time around, the introduction of Ranked Matches adds a competitive edge. You'll be battling other Trainers as you climb from Beginner to Master Ball Rank, with your points displayed and an emblem awarded at the end of the season, which lasts approximately one month. This means it's time for me to dust off my dueling skills and start building competitive decks.
