Get Ready for Dynamax Pokémon in Pokémon GO's Max Out Season!

Pokémon GO is introducing Dynamax Pokémon as part of its upcoming Max Out season! This exciting addition will bring a whole new level of gameplay to the popular mobile game. Learn more about this massive update below.

Max Out Season: September 10th - September 15th

The Max Out season kicks off September 10th at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until September 15th at 8:00 p.m. local time. Prepare for a week of giant Pokémon battles and incredible rewards!

Initial Dynamax Pokémon Encounters:

Trainers can battle and catch Dynamax versions of these Pokémon in 1-star Max Battles:

• Bulbasaur
• Charmander
• Squirtle
• Skwovet
• Wooloo

These Dynamax Pokémon, along with their evolutions, can be Dynamaxed by players. There's even a chance to encounter Shiny versions!

Event Activities:

• Special Field Research: Complete event-themed tasks for extra rewards.
• PokéStop Showcases: Show off your event Pokémon and win prizes.
• Seasonal Special Research: A new story focused on Max Battles, offering rewards like Max Particles and a new avatar item. Available September 3rd - December 3rd.

Max Particle Pack Bundle:

A special Max Particle Pack Bundle (4,800 Max Particles) will be available for $7.99 on the Pokémon GO web store starting September 8th at 6:00 p.m. PDT. Max Particles are crucial for Dynamax battles.

Future Updates:

Rumors suggest the arrival of Power Spots next month, serving as key locations for Max Battles and Max Particle collection. While Niantic hasn't confirmed this, it's an exciting prospect.

Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla hinted at the possibility of some Dynamax Pokémon also being able to Mega Evolve. However, information on Gigantamax Pokémon remains scarce, despite being teased at Pokémon Worlds. Niantic promises more details soon.
