"Oblivion Remastered Keeps Iconic Line Flub"
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered brings new life to one of Bethesda's most cherished titles, enhancing visuals and gameplay mechanics while preserving the charm of the original. Among the many preserved elements is a beloved voice acting blooper from the game's iconic character, Tandilwe, voiced by actress Linda Kenyon.
Veteran fans of The Elder Scrolls series will remember Tandilwe, the Master Speechcraft trainer found in the Temple of the One in the Imperial City. When Oblivion first launched on PC and Xbox 360 nearly two decades ago, Tandilwe's voice lines, including a notable flub, became a point of amusement and nostalgia. This particular blooper, where Kenyon can be heard taking another attempt at a line, has been a topic of conversation among fans for years.

As players embarked on their journey through a revitalized Cyrodiil with the remaster's release, many were eager to see how true the remaster stayed to the original. While much has been updated, from environments to character models, fans were delighted to find that the game's endearing quirks, such as Tandilwe's blooper, remained intact, complete with its original lack of subtitles.

In a 2019 interview with YouTube channel Jake 'The Voice' Parr, Linda Kenyon humorously defended herself regarding the infamous blooper, stating, "It wasn't my fault!"
As thousands of players dive into The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, debates arise about whether the re-release leans more towards a remake or a remaster. However, many are pleased to see that much of the original game's charm and "jank" have been preserved, a decision that Bethesda and Virtuos were committed to maintaining. This approach has been well-received by both new and returning players.
