Night of the Living Cat & Dead by Daylight Crossover Revealed

As part of IGN Live, we have an exclusive reveal: the first chillingly adorable two minutes of Crunchyroll's "Nyaight of the Living Cat" anime, along with the announcement of an upcoming in-game collection collaboration with *Dead by Daylight*.

You can watch the opening sequence below. It introduces our main characters to a horrifying—yet strangely cute—world. As they flee from a shadowy mass, the terrifying pursuers are revealed to be a horde of alarmingly cute cats.

When one hero stumbles and is overtaken, he isn't eaten or mauled as in a typical zombie story. Instead, the cats cover him in affectionate kisses. Tragically, even a single touch or kiss from these felines transforms a human into one of them.

Regarding the *Dead by Daylight* collaboration, specific details are still under wraps. However, fans won't have to wait long; more information about the cuddly horrors joining Behaviour Interactive's game will be announced in the near future.

*Nyaight of the Living Cat* will premiere on TV Tokyo and other Japanese stations, with Crunchyroll simulcasting the series in the U.S. and other regions starting July 6, 2025.

For the uninitiated, *Nyaight of the Living Cat* originated as a manga series by writer Hawkman and illustrator Mecha-Roots. The story revolves around a mysterious virus that transforms anyone touched by a cat into a feline. The protagonist, Kunagi, must resist the overwhelming urge to cuddle these adorable kitties in order to survive.
