Nvidia RTX 5090 Specifications Leaked
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090: 32GB GDDR7 Memory and 575W Power Consumption
Leaked information suggests Nvidia's upcoming GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card will feature a substantial 32GB of GDDR7 video memory and a power draw of 575 watts. This high-end GPU, part of the Blackwell generation, will be officially unveiled at Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote on January 6th.
The RTX 50 series, succeeding the RTX 40 series, will leverage Nvidia's Tensor Cores for AI processing, along with DLSS upscaling, ray tracing, and PCIe 5.0 support. This new lineup will compete directly against AMD's Radeon RX 9000 series and Intel's Battlemage GPUs. Note that some RTX 40 series cards, such as the RTX 4090D and RTX 4070, have been discontinued by Nvidia in anticipation of the RTX 50 launch.
Ahead of the official announcement, details about the RTX 5090 emerged from Inno3D, an Nvidia AIB partner. Their iChill X3 RTX 5090, a triple-fan card occupying over three expansion slots, confirms the 32GB GDDR7 memory – double the expected capacity of the RTX 5070 Ti. The 575W power requirement represents a significant increase compared to the RTX 4090's 450W.
High Performance, High Price
The RTX 5090's impressive specifications will likely come at a premium. Industry speculation points to an MSRP exceeding $1,999, though Nvidia has yet to confirm pricing. The card will utilize a 16-pin power connector, with adapters provided by Nvidia and its partners.
The complete RTX 50 series, including the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti, will be revealed alongside the RTX 5090 at Nvidia's CES presentation.
