The arrival of Marvel Rivals on the Nintendo Switch 2, once considered impossible, now seems increasingly likely. While NetEase previously dismissed a release on the original Switch due to technical limitations, the next-generation console presents a new opportunity.

At the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu confirmed ongoing discussions with Nintendo. The key challenge remains optimizing the game for the new hardware to ensure a consistently smooth experience:

"The original Switch lacked the processing power needed for the gameplay we envisioned. However, if the Switch 2 can meet those requirements, we're prepared to bring the game to the platform."

Following the official Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, major game publishers are expressing strong interest in the platform. Phil Spencer indicated Xbox's intention to bring its games to the system, and Electronic Arts (EA) has also shown its support.

Marvel Rivals itself is set for continued growth, with the addition of two Fantastic Four members anticipated in future updates, further enhancing the game's roster.
