MTG Aetherdrift Preorder: Find Booster Boxes, Bundles, Commander Decks

Author : Aria Update : Apr 07,2025

Get ready to rev up your engines and crew your vehicles! Wizards of the Coast has drawn inspiration from the thrilling world of professional racing for the latest Magic: The Gathering expansion, Aetherdrift. With a visual style reminiscent of Tron, this expansion introduces a plethora of artifact vehicles and introduces two exciting new mechanics: "Speed" and "Exhaust." Aetherdrift is also a multiversal adventure, with the "Death Race" event spanning across the planes of Avishkar, Amonkhet, and Muraganda.

For those new to the game or seasoned players alike, I highly recommend visiting your local game store. Not only can you find booster packs and event exclusives like Prerelease Sets, but it's also the perfect place to ask questions, learn about new expansions, and discover different game modes that might pique your interest.

If you're looking to buy in bulk, major retailers have got you covered. Set to release on February 14, here’s a comprehensive list of what you can preorder from the MTG Aetherdrift expansion:

Aetherdrift Booster Boxes

You have two options for bulk-buying Aetherdrift boosters: a Play Booster Box containing 30 Play Booster Packs, or the pricier Collector Booster Box containing 12 Collector Booster Packs. Both types of Booster Boxes come with foil “Box Topper” cards.

Magic: The Gathering Aetherdrift Collector Booster Box

If you’re looking to quickly build or upgrade a deck, Play Boosters are your best bet. However, it's worth noting that previous Play Booster Boxes, like those for the Duskmourn expansion, contained 36 Play Boosters instead of the current 30. If you're after alternate art and Mythic foils, the Collector Box might be worth the extra investment.

Aetherdrift Commander Decks

The Aetherdrift expansion includes two Commander Decks, both available for preorder. These decks are ready-to-play for the popular Commander game mode, which supports multiplayer games. Commander Decks are a cost-effective way to get 100 cards you can start playing with right away, making them an excellent choice for Magic beginners. Each deck comes with a foil commander, a set of synergistic cards, and a Collector Booster Sample Pack.

The first Aetherdrift Commander is Saheeli, Radiant Creator, a Human Artificer leading an Energy-oriented Red/Green/Blue deck called "Living Energy." The second Commander is Temmet, Naktamun’s Will, heading up a Zombie-oriented Black/Blue/White deck called "Eternal Might." Both Commander Decks are available for around $50, with a bundle including two copies of each deck also available for $180. You can check out the full Commander Decklists here to see exactly what you're getting.

Aetherdrift Bundles

Bundles are another type of MTG product that typically include a mix of booster packs, land cards, and fun accessories. The "flagship" bundle for Aetherdrift, themed around the expansion’s racing motif, is called the "Finish Line" bundle. Priced at $80, it includes:
