Mortal Kombat 1 released Conan the Barbarian gameplay trailer

Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled two consecutive character spotlights. Yesterday's esports trailer teased T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the immediate addition to the roster. Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, launching next week for premium edition owners, with today's release of his gameplay trailer.

Conan's design emphasizes brute strength. His attacks appear powerful, potentially high-damage, but agility seems limited. This might be offset by his sword's extended reach. Matchups against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander will be intriguing to witness.

While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacular impact of some other MK1 finishers. A simple submersion in acid feels somewhat underwhelming. However, enjoyable gameplay is paramount, and Conan promises just that.

Premium edition owners gain early access on Tuesday; everyone else must wait until January 28th.
