Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Finally Confirmed — Officially This Time

Author : Oliver Update : Mar 16,2025

The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially confirmed during Sony's State of Play 2025 presentation, alongside a new trailer. The August 28, 2025 release date, which leaked last week via the PlayStation Store along with the trailer, is now official.

An intriguing Ape Escape collaboration was also teased, with a cryptic "And More" message hinting at further exciting crossovers to come. This first crossover appears to reference the original Metal Gear Solid 3's monkey minigame, where Snake used stun grenades and his unique "Monkey Shaker" gun to subdue the primates.

PlayWhile boasting a new first-person perspective, *Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater* largely appears to be a highly polished recreation of the original game. As IGN noted in its preview, "Metal Gear Solid Delta seems more like a very shiny HD remaster than the elegant remake it could have been. It’s an admittedly beautiful nostalgia trip, but almost faithful to a fault."
