Meta Stops Selling Quest Pro VR Headset
The Meta Quest Pro is officially discontinued. Meta's website confirms its unavailability, following earlier announcements of its impending end-of-life. Limited remaining stock may exist at select retailers, but supplies are expected to be exhausted soon.
The high price point of $1499.99 significantly hampered the Quest Pro's adoption, unlike the more affordable Meta Quest line ($299.99-$499.99). This lack of consumer and corporate uptake led to its discontinuation.
Meta recommends the Meta Quest 3 as a superior alternative, boasting a "ultimate mixed reality experience" at a significantly lower price point of $499. The Quest 3 surpasses the Quest Pro in several key areas: it's lighter, offers higher resolution and refresh rate, and maintains compatibility with the Touch Pro controllers. For budget-conscious consumers, the Meta Quest 2S, starting at $299.99, provides a more affordable option with slightly reduced specifications.
