To initiate the Master Schindel’s Toys quest, you must first embark on the Into the Underworld main mission. As part of your search for an informant named Goatskin, head to the bathhouse. Engage with the Bathhouse Madam, and then speak to Adam, who will reveal that Goatskin is responsible for the theft of Master Schindel's items.

After gathering this information, your next task is to locate Goatskin. Known for his timidity, drawing him out can be tricky. You have two options: converse with Lousy Mary or track Udo. I suggest speaking with Udo, who can be found on the first floor of the bathhouse in the evening. Instruct him to leave, and discreetly follow him. Goatskin will attempt to rob Udo in an alley, providing you the perfect opportunity to confront him.

During your encounter with Goatskin, aim to acquire the Kuttenberg Underground Map. If you fail the skill check, a bribe may be necessary. Goatskin will direct you to the Kuttenberg gallows on the city's southeastern side, where you'll find the map on a hanging corpse.

With the map in hand, navigate the challenging Kuttenberg Underground. This area is notoriously dark and easy to get lost in, so proceed with caution.

For a swift retrieval of the stolen items, locate the northern entrance leading underground. Descend the ladder into the Kuttenberg Underground, ensuring to equip your torch due to the darkness.

Navigate through the tunnels, consistently making left turns until you encounter a barrel at a dead end. At some point, you'll need to jump to a lower level. Continue making left turns at each junction until you uncover Goatskin’s hidden stash. Inside the barrel, you'll find a book and an astrolabe.

Retrace your steps to exit the underground. Find Master Schindel on the northeastern side of the city during daytime hours. Hand over the stolen items; he may initially be brusque, but will warm up once his possessions are returned. Further conversation with him will provide insights into the astrolabe and planetary mechanics.
