R2/RT | Demon Mode | Activate Demon Mode for increased attack power, movement speed, evasion, and knockback immunity. |

Triangle/Y + Circle/B (In Archdemon Mode) | Demon Flurry I, II | High-damage attacks exclusive to Archdemon Mode, consuming the Demon Gauge. Use the analog stick to control direction. These can be chained with Blade Dance using R2/RT. |

Demon Mode/Demon Gauge and Archdemon Mode
The Dual Blades' unique gauge mechanic allows entry into Demon Mode, boosting your stats. Stamina depletes while in Demon Mode, ending the mode upon manual cancellation or zero stamina. Landing attacks fills the Demon Gauge. A full gauge activates Archdemon Mode, which gradually depletes the gauge over time. Archdemon Mode attacks consume the gauge. Both modes can be used strategically, and the Demon Gauge stops depleting while mounted.
Demon Dodge
A powerful state triggered by a Perfect Evade, increasing damage and allowing attacks during dodges. The 12-second buff adds damage to subsequent dodges.
Combos
Dual Blades combos revolve around Demon and Archdemon Modes. Chaining attacks maximizes damage.
Basic Combo
Chain Triangle/Y three times: Double Slash, Double Slash Return Stroke, and Circle Slash.
Alternatively, use Circle/B (Demon Flurry Rush – Spinning Slash – Double Roundslash) to quickly fill the Demon Gauge.
Demon Mode Basic Combo
In Demon Mode: Demon Fangs, Twofold Demon Slash, Sixfold Demon Slash, finishing with Triangle/Y + Circle/B (Demon Flurry I).
Archdemon Mode Blade Dance Combo
With a full Demon Gauge (Archdemon Mode): Blade Dance (Triangle/Y + Circle/B), followed by four R2/RT presses (Demon Flurry I into Blade Dance II), then Demon Flurry II and Blade Dance III.

Always Follow Up
Start with the basic Demon Flurry Rush combo (Circle/B x3), then chain Triangle/Y + Circle/B (x3) to fill the Demon Gauge and unleash powerful combos.
Keep Your Stamina Up
Maintain high stamina for extended Demon Mode use. Utilize Focus Strike on wounds to fill the Demon Gauge without stamina drain.
Dodging in Between Attacks
Dodge frequently, as the Dual Blades lack strong defensive options. The quick animations allow for strategic dodging between attacks.
Ensure Sharpness
The Speed Sharpening skill is highly recommended to mitigate frequent sharpness loss.
