Mask Around: The Sequel to Mask Up Delivers More Gooey Action!

Mask Around, the sequel to 2020's quirky roguelike platformer Mask Up, is now available on Google Play. This time around, players will engage in both intense gunfights and close-quarters brawling. The signature yellow ooze returns, along with some intriguing new gameplay twists.

For those unfamiliar with the original, Mask Up was a unique 2D roguelike brawler where players evolved from a small puddle of yellow goo into a powerful, well, gooey powerhouse. Mask Around builds upon this foundation, adding 2D shooting mechanics to the mix. Players can seamlessly switch between ranged combat and melee brawling, utilizing their goo abilities strategically.

However, the precious yellow ooze remains a limited resource, requiring careful management, especially during challenging boss encounters.

A Refined and Expanded Experience

While I haven't played the original Mask Up, Mask Around appears to be a significant improvement. It retains the core gameplay while significantly expanding upon it. Strategic resource management is key, alongside the addition of weapons to provide backup when the goo runs low. The visuals also boast a noticeable polish.

Currently available on Google Play, Mask Around offers a fresh take on the genre. While an iOS release is yet to be announced, Android users can dive into this gooey adventure immediately.
