Author : Christian Update : Feb 26,2025

Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) extends beyond the mobile realm; it boasts an arcade version at Dave & Buster's, offering a unique competitive experience. This arcade cabinet allows two-player 3v3 battles, with the victor decided by a best-of-three series. The real draw? Both players receive a Champion Card after each match – a physical collectible featuring a Marvel hero or villain from the game.

These cards aren't just for show; they're scannable in the arcade machine to select specific champions before a match. With two series released, over 175 cards exist, including standard and rarer foil variants. Whether you're aiming for victory or a complete collection, this guide covers everything you need to know about MCoC Champion Cards.

Understanding Champion Cards

MCoC Champion Cards are physical trading cards dispensed by MCoC arcade machines at Dave & Buster's. Each card represents a game character and can be used to select champions during arcade play. Unscanned cards result in randomly assigned champions.

Each card showcases a specific MCoC Marvel character and has a foil variant, mirroring other collectible arcade cards (e.g., Mario Kart Arcade GP, Injustice Arcade). Series 1 featured 75 champions; Series 2 added 100, including reskins of Series 1 characters.

A card is dispensed to each player post-match, win or lose. The card is randomly assigned, ensuring equal chances for all players. Cards are drawn from Series 1 (75 champions) or Series 2 (100 champions), each with rarer foil variants.

While not mandatory for arcade play, Champion Cards offer strategic depth and customization. Instead of random assignments, players can strategically select their champions. Note: These cards don't transfer to the mobile MCoC game, but add a tangible collecting element. For mobile MCoC tips, see our beginner's guide!

Rarity and Collectibility

Like traditional trading cards, MCoC Champion Cards are collectible. While in-game functionality is identical, collecting the full set, including foil versions, is a popular pursuit. Series 2 introduced new designs and reskins, leading to multiple versions of some characters.

Available Cards:

  • Series 1 (2019): 75 cards featuring classic MCoC characters.
  • Series 2 (later release): 100 cards, including reskins and new characters.
  • Foil Variants: Rarer, more valuable versions of standard cards.

Collectors aim for complete sets, specific Marvel characters, or solely foil cards. Their Dave & Buster's exclusivity enhances their appeal. For digital roster building, play MCoC on PC with BlueStacks for enhanced control and gameplay.
