One More Level, Creators of Ghostrunner, Reveal Image of Their New Game

One More Level, renowned for the critically acclaimed Ghostrunner series, has unveiled a new project: Cyber Slash. This upcoming title, unlike the futuristic setting of Ghostrunner, plunges players into an alternate, dark vision of the Napoleonic era, circa the first half of the 19th century.

The studio, currently developing both Cyber Slash and Project Swift (slated for a 2028 release), recently shared a teaser image hinting at Cyber Slash's unique aesthetic. The image suggests an epic and grim reimagining of history, where iconic heroes clash with formidable, unknown adversaries.

Gameplay promises a challenging and action-packed experience, departing from the traditional Souls-like formula. While precise parrying and exploiting enemy weaknesses remain central, the protagonist will undergo a transformative evolution through mutations throughout the game. Ghostrunner's legacy of fast-paced combat and high-stakes encounters is clearly influencing the development, but with a significant historical twist. The Ghostrunner games, boasting average critic and user scores of 81%/79% and 80%/76% respectively, set a high bar for One More Level's next venture.
