The King of Fighters ALLSTAR is officially ending service

Author : Peyton Update : Jan 17,2025

The popular mobile beat 'em up ARPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, will be shutting down later this year. Netmarble's announcement, posted on their official forums, confirms an October 30th, 2024 closure date; in-app purchases have already been disabled.

This news is surprising, given the game's six-year run and numerous high-profile collaborations with other fighting game franchises. The game, based on SNK's King of Fighters series, has enjoyed considerable success.

According to Netmarble, a contributing factor to the closure is the depletion of characters from the King of Fighters roster suitable for adaptation into the game. While this likely isn't the sole reason, it offers some insight into the decision.
