If you've forgotten the hint provided by Samin, you'll need to venture to the Iceshard Cliffs region to locate the Rime Beetle. Unfortunately, there's no simple waypoint to guide you directly to it; instead, you'll rely on keen observation and a bit of luck.

The Rime Beetle is an endemic creature that rolls up balls of packed snow, making it easier to spot in snowy areas. Focus your search on Areas 2, 7, 8, 11, and 13 within the Iceshard Cliffs. As you explore these snow-covered regions, keep an eye out for the Rime Beetle or follow any tracks you see in the snow to increase your chances of finding one.

To capture the Rime Beetle, you'll need to equip your Capture Net, which should already be part of your equipment. Hold L1/LB and scroll through your options until you find the Capture Net, then press Square/X to equip it. Aim with L2/LT, and when the Rime Beetle is within your crosshairs and turns orange, fire away to capture it. Successfully capturing the Rime Beetle will add it to your collection and fulfill Samin's request.

If you choose to collect it manually or with the Hook Slinger, you'll obtain Frost Pods instead, which can be used to inflict ice damage on targets in Monster Hunter Wilds.
