Guide to Completing Canker Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, "Canker" is an engaging side quest you can embark on early in the game, but you'll first need to complete "The Jaunt." This quest is not only a great opportunity to snag a mace but also to earn some extra Groschen. Here's a detailed guide on how to successfully navigate through "Canker."

To initiate the "Canker" quest, you'll need to have a conversation with Gules at Semine. A convenient time to pick up this quest is during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes, where you can talk to Gules while he's enjoying his drinks. However, the quest is available even before the wedding; just visit Semine and find Gules on patrol. Engage him in a conversation about his former bandit associates and offer your assistance in eliminating them. Canker, one of these former bandits, will be your first target.

Once you've accepted the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, just north of Nebakov Mill. Be prepared for potential ambushes by bandits along the path to his hideout. You can opt for stealth to bypass them, engage in combat, or simply flee if necessary. Although these bandits are generally not formidable, they can still be a nuisance, especially if you're conserving health for the upcoming battle.
Canker's camp is nestled in the mountains and can be tricky to find, as you need to navigate through a narrow gap to reach it, similar to the approach to the Hermit's house in the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Ensure you're ready for combat before entering, as you'll face several bandits alongside Canker. Keep in mind that some bandits might flee depending on your combat strategy, but it's crucial to eliminate most of them. Fortunately, Canker won't run, ensuring you can complete the quest by taking him down.
Finish the Quest and Return to Gules
After defeating Canker and his crew, loot his body to claim the Light Mace as proof of your success. Feel free to take any additional items that catch your eye. Once you've secured the mace, head back to Gules to wrap up the "Canker" quest.
Upon completing "Canker" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll need to wait a full in-game day before you can proceed with the next quest related to Gules' former bandit comrades. After the day has passed, speak with Gules again to start "Handsome Charlie."
