The Benefits of Gold Armor

First introduced in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, Gold Armor automatically repairs itself over time, eliminating the constant need for armor plating. This is especially valuable in resource management and survival against formidable foes like Amalgams. While manual plating remains an option, the self-repair feature ensures consistent protection even without extra plates.

Obtaining the Gold Armor Vest: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Acquire Statue Heads: Locate two statue heads within the Dark Aether Nexus. These are found inside destructible wooden crates; use melee attacks to break them open.

   

   • One crate is near a palm tree in a corner of the Dark Aether Nexus, close to the green Gateway portal.
   • The second is easily visible near the Juggernog Perk Machine on the same raised platform.

2. Repair the Roman Statues: Head to the Dig Site area. Place the statue heads on the two ruined Roman statues.

   • One statue is near the Ammo Cache, by the door leading to the Neolithic Catacombs.
   • The other is further up in the Dig Site, near the Roman Mausoleum (Pack-a-Punch location).

3. Complete the Blood Sacrifice: Interacting with the repaired statues initiates a Blood Sacrifice. This involves eliminating powerful HVT versions of Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. The challenge severely limits your health (1 HP), making strategic planning crucial. Armor plates absorb all damage during this phase.

   

   • Solo Strategy: Utilize a Mutant Injection to transform into a Mangler, granting immunity to damage. Time the transformation to coincide with the Blood Sacrifice initiation.
   • Co-op Strategy: Designate one player to initiate the Blood Sacrifice while another uses a Chopper Gunner from outside the Dig Site to eliminate the HVTs.

4. Claim Your Reward: After completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest becomes available for purchase as a Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.
