Godzilla-Spider-Man Clash Powers SEO Rankings

Get ready for a colossal clash! Marvel Comics is unleashing a new series of one-shot crossover specials pitting Godzilla against some of its most iconic heroes. IGN exclusively reveals the third installment: Godzilla vs. Spider-Man #1.

Following Godzilla vs. Fantastic Four #1 and Godzilla vs. Hulk #1, this issue throws Spider-Man into a retro showdown. The story unfolds post-1984's Secret Wars, shortly after Peter Parker's return from Battleworld and his initial struggles with the alien symbiote. He'll need every bit of his enhanced abilities to defend his city from the King of the Monsters.

Veteran writer Joe Kelly (The Amazing Spider-Man relaunch), teams up with artist Nick Bradshaw (Wolverine and the X-Men) for this explosive encounter. Bradshaw, along with Lee Garbett and Greg Land, provide the cover art.

"The moment I heard about an '80s-set Godzilla/Spidey crossover, I practically jumped for it," Kelly shared with IGN. "This book lets us go wild with two legendary characters, capturing the chaotic energy of that era. Nick Bradshaw perfectly embodies the absurdity while giving Godzilla and Spidey (in his, shall we say, interesting black suit) the gravitas they deserve. It's a love letter delivered with a planet-shaking roar!"

This isn't the first time Godzilla has faced Western superheroes; DC's Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong (with a sequel in the works) showcased the MonsterVerse versions. Marvel's series, however, features the classic Toho Godzilla.

This announcement follows the unveiling of IDW's Godzilla vs. Los Angeles #1, an anthology benefiting wildfire relief efforts.
