Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving Henry initially unarmed. This guide details how to acquire the Dogwood Village Bow early and without cost.

After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location on your map conveniently leads you to the bow. This is located just north of Troskowitz, where the prologue concludes.

Travel west from Troskowitz, following the path northward. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. A small training area, easily overlooked, is nestled within.

Locate the archery target; collect the arrows for free ammunition. To the right of the target, against a tree trunk, you'll find the Dogwood Village Bow. Additional resources like brew and mushrooms are also nearby.

Alternative Acquisition:

While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most powerful ranged weapon. Considering its proximity to the free bow, purchasing it is less efficient. Vitek offers superior weaponry, and you can supplement your funds through alchemy.

Regardless of your chosen method, having a ranged weapon significantly improves combat, especially for players who prefer this style. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's combat remains similar to its predecessor.

After acquiring the bow, you can proceed with the blacksmith questline (saving after forging a sword), or continue the main quest with the miller.
