Fortnite Adds Highly Anticipated Update
Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 1 update introduces a highly anticipated feature: using Fortnite Festival instruments as pickaxes and back blings! This addition, accessible via a new "instruments" option in the locker, has been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community.
Beyond the musical weaponry, the update also boasts new cosmetics from the Godzilla collaboration, providing players with fresh outfits and accessories.
The Fortnite Festival mode itself continues to expand, acting as a sort of spiritual successor to Guitar Hero. Players can purchase licensed music and instrument cosmetics from the Item Shop, and recently added local co-op enhances the multiplayer experience. Epic Games' collaborations with artists like Snoop Dogg, Metallica, and Lady Gaga further bolster the mode's appeal.
This surprise addition of Festival instruments to the battle royale mode allows players to equip microphones, guitars, and other instruments as both back blings and pickaxes simultaneously. The instrument seamlessly disappears when used as a pickaxe and reappears upon switching items. This update also includes a significant Hatsune Miku crossover, adding new outfits and instruments.
The update streamlines access to these items. Players can easily find and equip their musical gear in the locker using the dedicated "instruments" filter. Existing instruments previously limited to back bling or pickaxe use have also been updated for use within Fortnite Festival.
Finally, the Godzilla collaboration delivers additional cosmetics, including pink and blue edit styles for the Godzilla outfit, along with unlockable accessories like a wrap, harvester, and glider, obtained through battle pass challenges. The abundance of new content has generated considerable excitement among Fortnite players.
