Forspoken, despite its free PS Plus offering, continues to spark heated debate among players nearly a year after its release. While some PS Plus subscribers express excitement, others abandoned the game after just a few hours.

The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium additions surprised many with Forspoken's inclusion, generating positive anticipation alongside Sonic Frontiers. However, this initial enthusiasm hasn't translated into universal acclaim. Several players cite poor dialogue and a weak storyline as reasons for abandoning the game. While others enjoyed the combat, parkour, and exploration, the consensus points to the narrative as a major drawback. The inconsistent nature of the game, strong points undermined by a weak story, seems to be preventing a PS Plus revival.

Forspoken follows Frey, a New Yorker transported to the breathtaking yet perilous land of Athia. Armed with newfound magical abilities, Frey must navigate this vast region, battle formidable creatures, and defeat powerful matriarchs known as the Tants to find her way back home.
