At Droid Gamers, we frequently receive various gadgets, but a projector was a fresh addition. Given its capability to project mobile games onto a larger screen, the Formovie Episode One projector piqued our interest as a suitable piece of technology to explore.

Designed to cater to those on a tighter budget, the Episode One fulfills this promise admirably, despite a few minor drawbacks. The package includes the projector, a remote (batteries not included), a power cable, and a manual. While it might not have the substantial feel of higher-end projectors, its lighter weight of just three pounds makes it highly portable, perfect for taking on the go.

The connectivity options are somewhat limited, with only one USB-A port, one HDMI port, and a single audio jack. However, this is typical for a budget-friendly unit and should suffice for most users' needs.

In terms of performance, the Episode One delivers commendably for its price point. With 150 ISO lumens, it's not the brightest projector on the market, and it struggled in bright sunlight during our tests. However, it performed well in darker environments, which is to be expected. All the films, TV shows, and games we streamed were displayed with clarity.

The built-in speaker's sound output was adequate but somewhat tinny, suggesting that pairing the Episode One with an external speaker would enhance the audio experience significantly.

The user interface of the Episode One is user-friendly and straightforward, making it easier to set up and navigate compared to some of the more expensive projectors we've tested. Its budget-oriented design actually contributes to its ease of use.

In conclusion, the Formovie Episode One is an excellent entry-level projector. While it doesn't excel in any single area, it offers a solid overall performance that meets the needs of casual users effectively.
