In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the feud between Prochek and Olbram threatens to erupt into all-out war during the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" side quest. But you can intervene and bring peace to these warring factions. Here's how to stop the feud and achieve a more satisfying resolution.

How to Start "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*

This side quest unlocks after completing either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Regardless of your choice, completing one of these quests will trigger "Battle of the Frogs and Mice." Simply speak to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to begin. Once the quest starts, head to the pasture to initiate the conflict.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

While you can choose to support either Prochek or Olbram, there's a better way to resolve the conflict permanently. Siding with one will lead to a fight, rewarding you with groschen upon victory. However, a successful dialogue check during negotiations might cause an enemy to flee, making the fight easier.

To prevent the fight entirely, speak to Prochek or Olbram before going to the pasture and ask about ending the feud. Then, travel to Troskowitz and speak with Bailiff Thrush. Select the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace."

This requires a successful dialogue check. If you succeed, you can read the Troskowitz Chronicle in the scribe's room. If you fail the check, you can sneak in to read it (though saving beforehand is recommended).

Speak with the scribe and choose the option, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."

Next, head to the pasture and locate three oak trees in a row. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. You can:

  • Leave it: This equally divides the pasture between Tachov and Zhelejov.
  • Move it west: Favors Tachov.
  • Move it east: Favors Zhelejov.

The choice ultimately doesn't significantly impact the outcome, so choose based on preference. After placing the nail, speak with Bailiff Thrush again; he'll agree to end the feud. Finally, talk to Prochek or Olbram to bring them to the pasture, officially ending the conflict. You'll receive the Master Studies I book as a reward from Bailiff Thrush.
