Fallout Season 2 December 2025, Third Season Confirmed
Amazon Prime Video has set a December 2025 release window for Fallout Season 2, with the series also greenlit for a third season.
The streaming platform shared updates on the future of its post-apocalyptic adaptation of Bethesda’s games during its annual upfront presentation in New York City on Monday. It confirmed plans for a third season following the next installment’s arrival this winter. This signals strong confidence in Season 2, which wrapped filming just last week.

“The holidays arrived a little early this year—we're thrilled to bring about the end of the world once more with a third season of Fallout,” Executive Producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy said in a joint statement. “On behalf of our incredible cast and crew, showrunners [Geneva Robertson-Dworet] and [Graham Wagner], and our partners at Bethesda, we extend our gratitude to Amazon MGM Studios and the amazing fans as we continue exploring the wasteland together.”
Meanwhile, the confirmation that Fallout Season 2 is prepared for a 2025 release comes as a pleasant surprise. With filming having recently concluded and earlier interruptions like the LA wildfires delaying production, many expected new episodes no sooner than early 2026.
Though Amazon hasn’t locked in an exact release date yet, the news that new content will be ready by December shows the Prime Video series is charging forward at full speed.
