Path of Exile 2: The High Value of White Stellar Amulets

Path of Exile 2's trading channels are buzzing with demand for White Stellar Amulets, often fetching 10-15 Exalted Orbs each. This high price tag might puzzle some players. Why are these amulets so valuable? The answer lies in their potential for transformation.

The Astramentis Advantage

White (normal rarity) Stellar Amulets, possessing only the inherent "+# to All Attributes" modifier, are key ingredients in crafting the incredibly powerful Astramentis amulet. This is achieved using an Orb of Chance.

Astramentis's exceptional strength stems from its massive attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes perfectly with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another highly sought-after unique item, which scales attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.

Crucially, only White Stellar Amulets can yield Astramentis. Magic (Blue) or Rare (Yellow) amulets won't work, explaining their significantly higher value compared to their enhanced counterparts.

To Sell or to Gamble?

The odds of successfully crafting Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are exceptionally low. Even using 100 amulets might not guarantee success. While luck could strike, it's a risky proposition.

The choice to sell or gamble is entirely personal. Selling a White Stellar Amulet guarantees a return of 10-30 Exalted Orbs (market dependent), while attempting to create Astramentis offers a potentially massive, yet unlikely, payoff. It's a high-stakes gamble.

Using the Orb of Chance

To attempt the transformation, place the White Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. Possible outcomes include:

  • Amulet destruction.
  • Upgrade to a unique amulet:
    • Astramentis (highly unlikely)
    • Fixation of Yix (more common, less desirable)

Remember, amulet destruction is a very real possibility. Weigh the risks and rewards carefully before making your choice.
