Elon Musk approves: Path of Exile 2 has received a major update and a handy name change feature
Path of Exile 2's latest update, 0.1.1c, addresses several key issues and introduces notable improvements. The Grinding Gear Games team has detailed the fixes and additions implemented.
Key Changes and Bug Fixes:
- Cartwalker Machine Accessibility: Resolved a bug preventing access to the Cartwalker Machine after character transfers from solo league.
- Local Cooperative Mode Enhancements: Fixed multiple bugs in local co-op where Player 2 could inappropriately access Player 1's UI elements (e.g., high-level maps) and improved movement between control points for Player 2.
- Increased Revival Attempts: Added up to five revival attempts in challenging areas: Distorted Possessions, the Olroth boss fight, and the Essence of Nonexistence realm. Death before defeating the Host in The Mists now restarts the boss fight in the arena.
- Character Renaming: Players can now rename their characters via the official website.
Despite some initial launch challenges, Path of Exile 2 remains a Steam chart-topper. Grinding Gear Games' commitment to post-launch support and continuous improvement is evident in this substantial update.
