Elden Ring: Nightreign Console-Only Testing

FromSoftware's upcoming project will offer exclusive early access to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S owners. Registration opens January 10th, with testing slated for February. This means PC players will unfortunately miss out on this early access opportunity.

Bandai Namco hasn't publicly explained the exclusion of PC players from this testing phase. However, those selected for console testing will get a significant head start, experiencing the game before its official launch.

Elden Ring: Nightreign, a continuation of the original Elden Ring's story, promises a fresh, sinister experience. While console gamers enjoy this early access, PC users will need to await further announcements regarding potential future testing opportunities.

A notable change in Elden Ring: Nightreign is the removal of the in-game message feature. Project director Junya Ishizaki clarified this decision, stating that the approximately forty-minute session length doesn't allow sufficient time for players to send or read messages. "We disabled the messaging feature because there isn't enough time for sending or reading messages during sessions, which last approximately forty minutes," he explained.
