Elden Ring Adds Two Classes in Nintendo Switch 2 Tarnished Edition

Elden Ring is set to make its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 with the exciting Tarnished Edition, promising a fresh experience for both new and returning players. FromSoftware's epic adventure will introduce several new features, including two new character classes and additional appearances for the beloved steed, Torrent.

At the "FROMSOFTWARE GAMES EVENT Spring 2025" held in Tokyo on May 6, as reported by Famitsu, the developers unveiled the "Knight of Ides" and "Heavy Armored Knight" classes. These classes will come with unique armor sets, two of which will be part of the four new armors available in the Tarnished Edition. The other two sets can be obtained in-game, alongside new weapons and skills that were teased during the event.

For fans of Torrent, the spirit horse, three new appearances will be available, enhancing the customization options for this loyal companion. These features will be included in the Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, which also encompasses the Shadow of the Erdtree content. Additionally, FromSoftware announced that these new elements will be accessible on other platforms through the Tarnished Pack DLC, which is expected to be priced affordably.

The introduction of new classes is particularly exciting for players starting fresh on the Switch 2, offering a chance to explore Elden Ring with different playstyles. This added content could be especially appealing to those who have already delved into the game on other consoles.
