A potential leak from GameStop suggests an upcoming Digimon game, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, may be revealed during tonight's PlayStation State of Play. Gematsu uncovered pre-order listings on GameStop's website for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game, though details remain scarce.

The timing of this leak, just hours before Sony's 40-minute State of Play presentation, strongly hints at an official announcement. While Sony hasn't disclosed the presentation's contents, the possibility of a Digimon Story reveal is high.

The Digimon Story series, originating with the Nintendo DS title in the mid-2000s, boasts a history of RPG installments across various platforms. Recent entries include Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth (2015), Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (2017), and a 2019 Complete Edition encompassing both. These games typically feature players befriending and battling Digimon in an RPG setting.

Following a 2022 teaser from franchise producer Kazumashu Habu hinting at a new Story game, fans have eagerly awaited a sequel. While titles like Digimon Survive offered a different experience, Digimon Story: Time Stranger promises a true continuation of the series, potentially debuting very soon.
