Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 Will Carry Over Saves From 1 and 2
Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4: A Console Testing Update from Toby Fox
Undertale creator Toby Fox recently provided an update on the console testing phase for Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4. While significant progress has been made, with fewer bugs reported, testing continues across various platforms. Fox specifically noted that PlayStation 5 testing hasn't yet begun.
Save Transfer Functionality
A key development is the ongoing effort to enable save file transfers from the Chapters 1 and 2 demo to the full console release of Chapters 3 and 4. This feature, recently made possible by newly acquired technology, is still under development, with Fox expressing hopeful anticipation for its success.
The positive beta testing progress suggests a potential imminent release. Fox previously confirmed a 2025 release window for Chapters 3 and 4.
Introducing Tenna
Amidst the development process, Fox shared a humorous anecdote about a minigame he's creating. Family and friends described it as a "cry for help," prompting speculation that it might be intended for Chapter 5, given that Chapters 3 and 4 are reportedly complete content-wise.
Interestingly, Fox also mentioned a fan's nostalgic comment about a character named Tenna, previously seen only in the Spamton Sweepstakes campaign in September 2022. This seemingly confirms Tenna's appearance in the upcoming Chapter 3.
Deltarune, a spiritual successor to Undertale, continues to build anticipation with its blend of familiar mechanics and a fresh narrative. Players will once again follow Kris, Susie, and Ralsei on their world-saving adventure.
