The South Korean gaming regulator, GRAC, has officially rated "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach" as suitable for players aged 19 and above. This classification stems from the game's inclusion of "excessive violence," "excessive profanity, profanity and swearing," as well as scenes depicting the use of various illegal substances.

In a heartwarming gesture, Hideo Kojima recently presented flowers to actress Shiori Kutsuna, celebrating her completion of work on "Death Stranding 2." Kojima expressed his gratitude for her dedication, noting that despite the challenges of the ongoing pandemic, Kutsuna managed to perform motion capture in Los Angeles, undergo 3D scanning, and record her voice in both Japanese and English across various locations. Her involvement with the project began in the fall of 2022, and her efforts have been pivotal to the game's development.

At the Tokyo Game Show 2024, Hideo Kojima unveiled a wealth of material for "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach," captivating audiences with several two-minute cutscenes that introduced the protagonist's allies. Among the notable characters featured, George Miller plays Tarman, the captain of the mobile base Magellan, navigating through tar lakes. Fatih Akin brings to life Dollman, a former medium now in the form of a living doll. Léa Seydoux reprises her role as Fragile, adding depth to the returning cast.

A mysterious character named Tomorrow, portrayed by Elle Fanning, was also introduced. According to the storyline, she was found in a location resembling the realm of the dead, echoing the original game's theme, "Tomorrow is in your hands."

One particularly striking cutscene features the characters singing the iconic song "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, while engaging in conversation with a pregnant woman named Rainy, played by Shiori Kutsuna. This scene adds an emotional layer to the game's narrative, showcasing the depth of character interactions and storytelling that fans can anticipate in "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach."
