Dead Cells Mobile's final free updates delayed, arriving February 18th, 2025

The much-anticipated final two free updates for Dead Cells on mobile, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have been delayed, but now have a confirmed release date: February 18th, 2025. This news comes from developer Playdigious.

These updates, already available on console and PC, introduce significant new content. "Clean Cut" features two new weapons: the Sewing Scissors (survival-focused) and the Giant Comb (brutality-focused). A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allows players to customize their character's appearance.

"The End is Near" lives up to its name, adding several challenging new enemies: the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. Players will also find new skills and colorless mutations, such as Demonic Strength, a powerful mutation that significantly boosts damage when cursed.

A fitting finale to generous support

Playdigious deserves praise for consistently providing free content to Dead Cells players. While the announcement of the end of free updates initially drew criticism, the extensive additions justify the studio's decision to move on to other projects.

Both "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near" will launch simultaneously on Android and iOS on February 18th, 2025.

New players are encouraged to consult a Dead Cells weapon tier list before diving into the game's challenging gameplay.
