The standout additions are permadeath and speedrun modes, catering to different player preferences. An enhanced photo mode and expanded accessibility options further enhance the gameplay experience. A new Horde Assault arcade mode challenges players with larger-than-life Freaker encounters. The game also leverages PS5 Pro capabilities and features Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support.
Days Gone Remastered releases on April 25, 2025. PS4 owners can upgrade for $10. A launch trailer is available below.
This PS5 release joins other upgraded PS4 titles on the platform, such as The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. While Days Gone is already available on PC, PC players can access the new modes via the $10 Broken Roads DLC. This DLC also unlocks the enhanced photo mode, DualSense controller features (haptic feedback and adaptive triggers), and the additional accessibility options.
A PlayStation Blog post details further enhancements. The PS5 version is optimized for the console, offering both Performance and Quality modes. PS5 Pro users will benefit from superior visuals and audio.
New players can purchase Days Gone Remastered for $49.99. Pre-orders begin tomorrow, including eight PSN avatars and five early in-game unlocks as pre-order bonuses. For a comprehensive overview of the State of Play announcements, check out our roundup here.
