How To Craft & Use Gems In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Quick Links
Boosting your character in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is key, and Gems are a fantastic way to do it. These equippable items provide passive buffs, significantly aiding your progress on higher difficulties. While the crafting and upgrading system has a degree of randomness, understanding the mechanics can maximize your gains. Here's a guide to crafting, upgrading, and strategically obtaining gems.
How To Craft & Level Up Gems In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Gem crafting utilizes Pyroxene and is accessible at any Inn or tent. Navigate to your room and select the "Create Gems" option (second from the top). You can use your Pyroxene one-to-one to craft gems. There are five unique gems, each with a chance of being crafted with each Pyroxene.
Initially crafted gems are level 1 and equippable via the Battle Preparations menu. Crafting duplicate gems grants experience points (XP) to the base gem, increasing its potency with each level. If you're not focused on specific gems, using all your Pyroxene at once provides a broad upgrade across all gem types.
For those seeking specific gems, crafting individually offers a chance to trigger "Eyes of the Sacred Bird." This effect randomly selects three gems, limiting the crafting possibilities for subsequent Pyroxene use. You can cancel this effect by exiting and re-entering the crafting menu. While crafting one gem at a time is slower, it increases the odds of activating "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" for your desired gem. However, even with "Eyes of the Sacred Bird," some randomness remains.

Where To Get Pyroxene In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Pyroxene appears as orange crystals scattered throughout the overworld. Interacting with a crystal yields one Pyroxene, after which the crystal disappears. Completing skirmishes or battles will cause some Pyroxene to respawn, encouraging exploration of previously visited areas. You may also occasionally receive Pyroxene from letters found in your Inn or tent room.
