Ready to dive into the world of Artian weapons in *Monster Hunter: World*? These unique weapons let you craft custom gear with the stats and elements you desire, making them a late-game game-changer. Let's break down everything you need to know.

Unlocking Artian Weapon Crafting

Unlocking Artian Weapons

First, you'll need to progress through the main story, reach High Rank, and defeat your first Tempered monster. The NPCs will give you a clear indication of which monster this is. After this victory, Gemma will initiate a conversation, unlocking the Artian weapon crafting tutorial. She'll become your crafting expert from then on.

Each weapon type requires three components, each with a rarity, element, and Artian bonus. To craft, components must share the same rarity. The weapon's element is determined by the most prevalent element among your components (e.g., two water and one lightning components create a water weapon). Using three different elements results in no elemental infusion. The Artian bonus offers either an attack or affinity boost—choose based on your preferred playstyle.

Acquiring Artian Materials

Artian Materials

Hunting Tempered monsters in High Rank is the key to obtaining Artian materials. After defeating your first Tempered monster, you'll find one or two roaming various areas; they're marked with a blue outline on your map. Defeating or capturing these monsters yields Artian parts, found among your post-mission rewards (alongside decorations). Material rarity increases with your hunter rank, ensuring natural progression. While there's no direct correlation between the hunted monster and the type of Artian parts dropped, hunt those you enjoy fighting or need materials from for other equipment.
