Civilization 7's post-release roadmap revealed
The much-anticipated first DLC for Civilization VII, titled "Crossroads of the World," is set to roll out in two exciting phases during March. In the initial stage, players will have the opportunity to command both Great Britain and Carthage, diving into new strategic challenges under the guidance of Ada Lovelace, the celebrated computer pioneer and new leader. Three weeks after the first phase, the second installment will introduce Simon Bolivar as a leader, alongside the civilizations of Bulgaria and Nepal, offering even more diverse gameplay experiences.
Looking ahead, the "Right to Rule" DLC is slated for release between April and September 2025. This expansion will bring two additional leaders and four new civilizations, along with captivating natural wonders, further enriching the world of Civilization VII.
Firaxis is committed to continually enhancing the game, with plans to introduce new challenges and events. In March, players can look forward to fresh in-game events and the addition of natural wonders such as the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest, adding layers of intrigue and strategy to the gameplay.

Civilization VII will be available across multiple platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Owners of the Deluxe and Founders Editions will enjoy early access starting February 6, five days before the official release. On launch day, a zero-day patch will be available to ensure a smooth start for all players.
Firaxis Games and publisher 2K have announced that Sid Meier's Civilization VII, the latest entry in the iconic turn-based 4X strategy series, has reached the gold standard. This milestone signifies that the main development is complete, paving the way for a timely release on February 11, barring any unexpected issues. Additionally, Civilization VII has been confirmed for compatibility with Steam Deck, ensuring it's accessible on all modern gaming platforms.
