Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expanding its Zombies experience with a fifth map, adding another layer of survival horror to the game. A sneak peek, unveiled on the official Call of Duty (X) Twitter and Treyarch's X account (March 12, 2025), showcased a grand mansion, its façade scarred by battle. The image depicts significant damage, burning vehicles, ominous black smoke, and fiery interiors.

The accompanying caption, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" and the "#Zombies" hashtag, hints at the return of the familiar character, Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a key figure in Call of Duty: Cold War. Given that Black Ops 6 is a remake of Cold War, Eddie's reappearance isn't surprising.

Keen-eyed fans have identified the location as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991, as indicated on the teaser image. This timeline aligns perfectly with the narrative of Black Ops 6's previous Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a direct continuation of the storyline.

A significant detail revealed on Treyarch's Instagram account is the potential absence of Amalgam enemies. Responding to a fan comment about anticipating hordes of Amalgams, the developers simply stated, "Nope." This is welcome news for players, as Amalgams, with their high health and powerful attacks, are notoriously challenging Elite enemies. Their removal (or reduction) promises a potentially smoother gameplay experience on this new map.
