What Happens After You Beat Avowed?
While *Avowed*'s Living Lands feel vast, the main quest is surprisingly concise. Curious about what awaits after the credits roll? Let's explore the post-game experience in Obsidian's latest RPG.
Does *Avowed* Have New Game Plus?
Many RPG fans relish replaying the main quest on higher difficulties, wielding earned skills and gear. Unfortunately, Avowed currently lacks a New Game Plus mode at launch. However, Obsidian may add this feature via a future update or DLC, given player demand.
Even without New Game Plus, replayability exists. Avowed's impactful choices create diverse storylines and character builds, making a fresh playthrough worthwhile to explore different endings and character progressions.
Does *Avowed* Have Endgame Content?

Avowed features four main regions, a secret final area, and a return to a major city (details withheld to avoid spoilers). Legendary-quality weapons and gear become crucial for survival in these challenging endgame areas. However, this challenge doesn't extend to earlier regions, and no new areas unlock post-completion. Your choices don't reshape the Living Lands after the credits roll.
What You Can Do After Beating *Avowed*
Avowed's post-game is relatively limited due to the absence of New Game Plus and endgame content. Upon completing the final encounter, you'll watch several minutes of cutscenes detailing the consequences of your choices. Afterwards, you return to the main menu.
From there, you can start a new game or reload a previous save. Autosaves from before the point of no return and the final encounter are accessible. This allows replaying those sections with altered choices for different story outcomes.
Reloading to before the point of no return lets you revisit earlier regions. Clean up the map, earn achievements, complete missed side quests, and collect any overlooked items. Enemies in these earlier areas won't scale to your level, making it incredibly satisfying to revisit Dawnshore, for example, with top-tier gear.
That's the post-game experience in Avowed.
Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
