Ubisoft has unveiled its first-year post-launch roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, featuring planned additions like New Game+, expanded difficulty options, story expansions, and other enhancements.

The studio outlined its 2025 plans in a concise 4.5-minute roadmap video released today. The presentation highlights May and June updates designed to engage players with free content drops supporting Ubisoft's latest stealth-action installment throughout the year.

The first free story expansion, The Works of Luis Frois, arrives in early May alongside a Codex update and quality-of-life improvements. Significant parkour enhancements and photo mode upgrades will follow later in May. These changes reflect Ubisoft's commitment to implementing community feedback for Shadows' ongoing development.

"Player input has been central to our development process, and that continues post-launch," said community developer Daniel St. Germain in the video. "We'll deliver regular updates with meaningful additions and fixes based on your suggestions, alongside platform optimizations."

June brings another story update plus challenging difficulty modes, immersion settings, an open-world alert system, and cinematic helmet toggle options. While these address immediate player requests, further additions like New Game+, additional narratives, and special collaborations will arrive before year's end.

The most substantial DLC, Claws of Awaji, launches later in 2025 with approximately 10 hours of new content. This expansion introduces the Bo staff weapon and unexplored territories for protagonists Naoe and Yasuke. Pre-order customers receive this content automatically, though pricing remains undisclosed.
