Artifact Detectors in Stalker 2: A Comprehensive Guide

This guide details the four artifact detectors available in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, explaining their functionality and acquisition methods. Artifacts significantly enhance Skif's stats, making artifact detectors essential for exploration.

Echo Detector: The Basic Detector

The Echo Detector is your starting artifact detector. This small, yellow device uses a central light tube that pulses to indicate proximity to an artifact. The faster the pulse and the higher the beeping frequency, the closer you are to your target. While functional, pinpointing artifacts can be time-consuming.

Bear Detector: An Enhanced Experience

Acquired either during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from a vendor, the Bear Detector improves upon the Echo Detector by providing a visual distance indicator. Concentric rings around the display illuminate, indicating proximity to the artifact. Full illumination signifies you're directly above the artifact's spawn point.

Hilka Detector: Precision Artifact Detection

Obtained during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, the Hilka Detector offers a more precise approach. It displays numerical values correlating to the artifact's position within the anomalous zone. Decreasing numbers mean you're approaching the artifact.

Veles Detector: The Pinnacle of Artifact Detection

The Veles Detector, earned by completing the main mission "In Search of Past Glory," is the most advanced detector. Its radar display precisely locates artifacts within anomalous fields, simultaneously highlighting dangerous anomalies in the vicinity, ensuring safer artifact retrieval.
