Applin and Dynamax Entei debut in Pokémon Go this month

Author : Camila Update : Apr 24,2025

Get ready for a thrilling month in Pokémon Go as two Galarian favorites make their debut, offering a mix of sweetness and power. From April 24th to 29th, the Sweet Discoveries event introduces the adorable Applin, a Dragon/Grass-type Pokémon. To evolve Applin into either Flapple or Appletun, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples - Tart Apples for Flapple and Sweet Apples for Appletun. Keep an eye out for apples in the wild, particularly near Mossy Lures, which may also trigger Applin encounters.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, expect to see wild spawns of Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Engage in Field Research and hatch Eggs for a chance at themed Pokémon like Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research offers Sweet and Tart Apples, with both free and paid options available. The paid version provides extra Mossy Lure Modules and additional Applin encounters.

For those drawn to more intense battles, mark your calendar for April 26th–27th, when Dynamax Entei makes its fiery entrance during the Max Battle Weekend. Keep an eye out for Shiny Entei encounters as well.

Prepare for these events with these Pokémon Go codes to enhance your gameplay experience. During both events, enjoy bonuses like an increased Max Particle cap, reduced adventuring distance to collect them, and boosted Power Spot refresh rates. You'll earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot visited. Leading up to the Max Battle Weekend, free Timed Research starts on April 21st, rewarding you with a Dynamax Sobble to counter Entei's power.
