Alexa Plus Now Available on Select Echo Show Devices
Introducing Alexa+, the latest evolution of Amazon's voice assistant, now in early access. Powered by advanced generative AI, Alexa+ promises a more natural and fluid conversational experience. According to Amazon, "Alexa+ is more conversational, smarter, personalized – and she helps you get things done." This upgraded assistant is designed to engage in more human-like interactions, making it easier for users to manage tasks such as completing to-do lists, retrieving calendar details, and even booking restaurant reservations.
Currently, Alexa+ is in its Early Access phase, exclusively available on a select range of Echo Show devices: the Echo Show 8, 10, 15, and 21. If you own or are considering purchasing one of these devices, you can sign up for notifications to be among the first to try Alexa+. After the Early Access period, Alexa+ will be offered as a complimentary benefit to Amazon Prime members, or available for a subscription fee of $19.99 per month to non-Prime users.

With Alexa+, you can ask anything that comes to mind, benefiting from its conversational capabilities. The Early Access page for Alexa+ highlights that "new features are being added regularly," suggesting that more enhancements and capabilities will be revealed as the Early Access period progresses.
However, not all devices will support Alexa+ right away. Older generation Echo devices such as the Echo Dot 1st Gen, Echo 1st Gen, Echo Plus 1st Gen, Amazon Tap, Echo Show 1st Gen, Echo Show 2nd Gen, and Echo Spot 1st Gen will continue to use the original Alexa. Amazon has announced plans to expand Alexa+ compatibility to additional devices in the future, including Fire TV, Fire tablets, and Alexa.com.
