Albion Online is set to launch its next major expansion, Abyssal Depths, on June 30th, 2025. This comprehensive update brings sweeping changes designed to enrich the player experience. Read on for all the details.

What Are the Abyssal Depths in Albion Online?

A new PvP dungeon experience is arriving. These instanced PvP dungeons are tailored for small groups of two or three players, set within an ever-collapsing environment.

Players must battle enemy creatures and rival teams while rushing to complete tactical goals and collect spirits—all before the dungeon collapses. High risk promises high reward, with developers confirming unique treasures to be found.

Access these dungeons through Antiquarian’s Dens, which also now serve as launch points for updated Corrupted Dungeons and Hellgates. Both of these existing features are receiving quality improvements.

The Abyssal Depths update also aims to welcome new players more effectively by integrating the post-tutorial progression into the Albion Journal.

Rather than navigating disconnected quests, newcomers will follow a clearer, structured path that gradually introduces them to the game's core systems. Initial tasks are simple but evolve to encompass crafting, combat, the Destiny Board, and city buildings.

Quality-of-Life Improvements

The HUD Tracker has been streamlined for a cleaner look, and the user interface has been refined for greater intuitiveness. Tutorial elements now offer more interactivity throughout.

A complete overhaul of the Learning Points system is underway. Players can also experiment with a new set of Crystal Weapons, and the Marketplace has received a comprehensive categorization update.
