Remedy Entertainment has announced a substantial, free Anniversary Update for Alan Wake 2, launching October 22nd. The developer expressed gratitude to the fanbase for their support since the game's release.
This update, released alongside The Lake House expansion, boasts extensive accessibility improvements. New features include infinite ammo and one-hit kill options. Additionally, players can now invert the horizontal axis, and PS5 DualSense controller functionality has been enhanced to provide haptic feedback for healing items and throwable objects.
The update also incorporates numerous quality-of-life (QoL) enhancements based on player feedback gathered since launch. Remedy explains that development hasn't ceased, with ongoing work on expansions alongside community-driven improvements. These refinements are packaged into this Anniversary Update, timed to coincide with the game's release anniversary.
