Nintendo Switch 2向けのRed Dead Redemption 2が2025年後半に発売される可能性があり、PlayStation 5とXbox Series X/S向けの次世代エンハンスに関する噂も流れている。

GameReactorによると、ロックスターに近い関係者は、西部開拓時代を舞台にした叙事詩がSwitch 2に登場し、現行世代機向けのパフォーマンスパッチが提供されると示唆している。未確認ではあるが、情報筋は2024年後半に発売される可能性があるとほのめかしている。

これは、Nintenduoが、この移植版がテイクツーの2026年3月期決算年度内にリリースされる可能性があると報じた内容と一致する。小売での入手方法（ダウンロード版のみかパッケージ版も含むか）は明らかにされていない。
