Nintendo ha confirmado oficialmente que los jugadores podrán utilizar los controles de mouse innovadores Switch 2 Joy-Con en la pantalla de inicio, agregando una nueva capa de interactividad a la experiencia de la consola. Nintendo explicó: "Si coloca el controlador Joy-Con 2 en una superficie con el lado de accesorio hacia abajo, aparecerá un cursor en la pantalla. Para mostrar el cursor, coloque el Joy-Con 2 en una mesa o la superficie plana y moverlo como se muestra".

Elaboraron aún más: "Mientras usa los controles del mouse, puede inclinar el palo de control para desplazarse por los menús. Use controles de mouse en el menú de inicio y en un software compatible". Para volver a usar el pulgar, simplemente reposicione el Joy-Con 2 horizontalmente.

Si bien la lista completa de juegos que cumplen con el mouse permanecen sin revelar, Nintendo ha demostrado que la tecnología funciona sin problemas con las versiones Switch 2 de Mario Party Jamboree y Metroid Prime 4 , así como el juego de baloncesto de silla de ruedas Drag X Drive .
